Donors can designate gifts in a variety of ways. The Gilroy Foundation General Fund addresses emerging

and unforeseen local needs on an annual basis. Gifts to this fund provide the Foundation with the

flexibility to respond to the highest priorities of the community. There is no limit on giving to this fund:

no gift is too small or too large.

In addition, a donor can create a separate named fund in any of these four categories:

• A separate Unrestricted Fund is utilized by our grant process to meet the current needs of the
  
  community.
  

• A Field of Interest Fund can support a donor’s particular interests, i.e. education, the arts, etc.
  

• A Designated Fund provides a donor the tool to support a favorite charity with permanent annual
  
  support.
  

• A Donor-Advised Fund allows donors to suggest who the recipients will be each year. This
  
  category enables donors to meet their philanthropic objectives without the costs and administrative
  
  demands of funding a private foundation.

Note: any of these four named fund options can be achieved over a period of years with annual

contributions. A separate fund must have a minimum balance of at least $10,000. Whatever amount you

have in mind, the Gilroy Foundation’s 25 years of experience in giving ensures that your dollar will be

used to best fulfill the needs of this community.

Your donation will receive the maximum state and charitable deductions allowed by law. Gifts may be

made now – in cash, stocks or real estate – or you may leave a legacy to the community by naming the

Gilroy Foundation in your will or estate plan.
